Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe

Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe

As a fan of Deadpool and the Marvel brand I was quite for this one. A 4 issue limited series in which one of the most popular characters in comic book history goes on a killing spree. And who does he kill? Everybody. Cap Am and the Avengers, Wolverine and the Xmen, Spidey, Punisher, Banner, and the Fantastic Four. No one is safe. This series was published in November 2012 and I couldn't wait to read it. I didn't research or look into anything leading up to this series so I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a joke or taken serious. Whose to blame for this colossal piece of crap? So many fantastic ideas have come and gone. This one was supposed to be special. This one was supposed to be epic. Damn. It was so bad I didn't even want to write this post. 9 out of 10 graphic novels and compilations I buy I keep in my collection. But this one? I have some ideas. Tear out the pages and make a coffee table collage? Give it to my little cousins? Light it on fire and ease my inner arsonist?
The story is short and not well structured. It's hurried and not developed well for the fans who buy and read them. I don't think a story such as this should be long, but a little longer and more valued. It's such an awesome idea, why not take the time to make it right? The fight's are very short, but end in some cool deaths. Some funny dialogue but you expect better for Wade Wilson. The art work is alright.

No spoilers here, and as much as Id like to comment on the final few pages I think Ill let it go. Get it. Keep it in the bathroom. Read it over a few toilet visits. That's where it belongs.
